**The University of Gothenburg appointed Amp Eleven partner Johan Sköld as Assar Gabrielsson Visiting Professor, starting 24 September 2026.**

On 24 September 2026, the University of Gothenburg announced Amp Eleven partner Johan Sköld as its new Assar Gabrielsson Visiting Professor at the School of Business, Economics and Law.

The appointment runs from 24 September 2026 to 23 September 2027 and covers 20 per cent of a full-time position. According to the university, Johan will meet students and researchers, and take part in lectures and discussions with the School’s partners and alumni.

The professorship connects management theory with the work of running companies. Johan brings experience from business management, investing and board work, alongside years of teaching. In the announcement, he describes the exchange as two-way: sharing practical experience while taking new ideas back into business.

Our take: a useful connection between the classroom and the operating company. Theory should survive contact with Monday morning.
